I'm Domestic.

...Well, not really.

But I did want to learn how to cross stitch. I started my first ever cross-stitching project on Sunday and finished it on Tuesday. Here it is:

I'm rather proud of myself, though I hate lazy-daisies (the type of stitch that's the yellow in the flowers). They're dumb and stupid. I kept pulling them through to the other side. But eventually I sort of got the hang of it. Anyway, now for the back:

It started out a lot neater before adding the lazy daisies and backstitching (the black outlines). I read online that a lot of people hate backstitching; I didn't think the stitching itself was so hard, it just took forever because you had to look back and forth between the pattern and your project between like EVERY stitch. THAT got old.

Oh well. Happy Late St. Patty's everyone! And also, Happy Birthday to Stacey Bond. Her blog has a link in the lower portion of the right bar on this page, just in case you aren't reading it already. Do it!! Do it!! You know you want to...

  3. Stacey come hang out with me and we can have a cross-stitch-a-thon! Have you ever noticed that "thon" looks like "thong" spelled wrong? Or maybe I'm just crazy.
